I know there is a wreck in lake sunapee called the wetamoo but i can't find anything on where in the lake it is. Does anyone know anything about this wreck and how to get to / find it?

thanks!

I have never heard of it. I did a google search and only found out about Wetaboo the indian princess, no reference to ships or wrecks.

A few years back we did the dive below. We were not impressed, good visibility, but nothing to see, a few old timbers. In fact in the whole hour underwater we saw one fish. Or as my dive buddy describes good visibility in a lake, you can see nothing from further away.

Blodgett's Landing, Lake Sunapee
Location: Four miles north of Newbury, N.H., on Route 103A. Watch for a sign marking the left-hand turn to the landing.
Special Features: The 90-foot steamship Edmund Burke burned to the waterline and sank here in the 1930's. Its remains lie in shallow water in front of the only cottage located between the road and the lake. Divers occasionally find anchors and fishing tackle at this site as well as old bottles from the settlement's early days.
Access: Walk across beach or down boat ramp.
Hazards: None.
Depth: To 25 feet near shore, to 100 feet further out in the lake.
Currents: None.
Parking: Small lot on the left at the bottom of the hill.
Restrictions: None.

i went up to sunapee today with a friend and stopped in at LaPorte's Skindiving and picked up a map of the lake. The wreck i was talking about sits in about 60' and needs a boat to acess because its all private property around it. We actually did dive blodgetts landing and it was probably the most boring dive of my life. The cove stays at 7' for about 2/3 of the way out before it drops off to 17' or so... the most we hit was 31' and that was almost out of the cove. We didnt find the wreck that is said to be in there but then again we didnt stick around too long. I wouldn't reccomend this location soley because of the extremly long, shallow start and the lack of anything on the bottom, no rocks, just muck. But hey, any dive is better than no dive and i set a new record in my wetsuit... 43F
