Lake Simcoe Airplane

Ok - I've done the mandatory forum search. I've done an internet search. And all I can find is references to this supposed airplane in Lake Simcoe. Simcoe Diver relayed some GPS coordinates of wrecks to me and says he believes it to be about 200 feet west of the Trimaran.

So, does anyone know:

1. GPS coords?
2. the depth?
3. Type of aircraft?
4. How it got there?
5. Anything??

If I get the enough info and the conditions are right, I'll be looking for a buddy to try and find it with.

Its actually 200 ft east of the Trimaran, my apologys, Its supposed to be at an angle towards the southeast from the trimaran in line with the road that goes to Bayview Beach on the west shore.Wow now you can see why it was hard to find!I just love my GPS once I have the numbers its so much easier.let me know if you find it!

Forgot to add that its only 28 ft depth, and its only a Cessna type of plane I believe ,no idea how it got there.

Do you know how deep the Trimaran is? Is that 28ft as well?

Do you have boat SimcoeDiver? Maybe we could rendezvous one day and do a search for the plane.

Yes the Trimararan is at 28 ft.Yes I have a boat, but I,m booked for the next few weekends,,Have a trip planned to Kingston for long weekend,Perhaps closer to the end of July on a Sunday we can do some diving,also need a couple days of calm weather to improve visibility as Cooks Bay stirs up easily. Also make sure the boat is solidly anchored because its a mud bottom that doesnt hold anchors well.Ill Pm you when Im free.

I dove this small Sesna air plane about five years back, it was put out there by a scuba shop some time ago, its just the shell. The cat now is some distance away from it as we lift baged the plane and dragged her about 1/2 mile from it original location. The cat is nothing more than two small pontoons. There is a more interesting cabin cruiser in 80 feet of water at the following location. N444 22 832 - W7940 405.

Yes, that would be the Neilson. I'd really like to find that plane though. Anyone know which shop - they might have the coords.

Mr. Adams do you mean that the plane was lift bagged from the original position that was originally 200 ft from the Trimaran? So were you able to mark its new location with GPS ? also just curious as to why it was lift bagged and moved.

Scuba Duffer believe me I ve already tried to get the coords for the plane,nobody has the numbers.The best I could get was the description of the location that I originally posted.Its possible there,s someone with coords.

Well, according to research I've done, a shop did indeed lift bag her and relocate it. Now, was it relocated to where you think it now lies, or was it relocated from there???

If I could find the shop that lift bagged her, that would be a huge help. Even without co-ords, they could at least narrow it down.

So Mr Adams......where's the plane?????? Or, which shop put her there??????
