We are considering diving at the Lake Buchanan Dam this weekend. Never been there and was wondering what we can expect expect. Have anybody been there lately?

I've never been there and might like to check it out. I will be in Kingsland on Lake LBJ just a few miles away on Sunday and Monday if you would like some company.

Sorry, I just heard the viz is worse than Travis. I'll going to pass on this one.

Has anyone ever gone diving at Buchanan Dam? Last time I was there the water looked like the vis could be measured in inches not feet.

It's generally hard to judge at the surface due to algae in these warmer months. I am interested in this lake as well due to a specific formation that was lost when the lake was flooded. I will be very interested in hearing what the vis at depth is. For a salvage diver this lake sounds appealing as it seems it is not being dived much.
