Hey all,

I thought I would post a few shots from Laguna yesterday. I was on my way down to Heisler Park to help out with Pasley.

On the way down I got a call saying to turn back around and go home conditions where not "ideal".

Because I have my camera with me at all times and I was 5 minutes away from the beach I decided to go down anyway and snap some shots. Would have definitely been a tricky entry...

These were all taken at Crescent Bay. But Hiesler, Divers and Shaws were all just as "challenging"

Dive Safe,
Jeff

Yikes!

I wondered if the winds yesterday made things "interesting" LOL.

Glad I was in Avalon Saturday rather than fighting those waves Sunday! Always can tell the divers will be frowning when the suffers are smiling :)

Thx for the post!

no worries, you're welcome.

Yep Nikolai, you definitely missed some good ones....There was a class standing at the railing looking down at diver's cove faces all pale, swallowing pretty hard... I think they thought their instructor was still going to take them in :D

dive safe,
Jeff

Perfect day for surf entries in snorkel gear and/or diver rescue senarios. :D

Whoa! I can just imagine getting rolled around in that! Always hope the conditions are like that before you make the entry, and not just before you make the exit....

I wondered what the Surf looked like yesterday thanks for the pics. Good thing i got diving in on Sat instead. I was at the harbor in Ventura all day yesterday working and i was watching the Waves break over the break wall and the white caps in the harbor, still a few little boats went out but none of the Fishing or diving boats left.

Thanks for the photos and most of all thanks for being willing to give up a morning to help.

We have twice been nixed, once by the sewage spill and once by the winds and waves. Ryan the diver we were going out with, is leaving later this week for Hawaii and SCUBA diving. He had hoped to be fully certified, but with only 4 dives, 2 short of certification (HSA rules) he will have to settle for diving with an instructor. But when he comes back, if we can coach him into SoCal water after diving Hawaii, he will get finished up and be off and diving. I did get to show his instructor the Montage site and he now agrees it has better wheelchair access and will be a suitable site for the dives.

No worries Pasley I was happy to (almost) do it. :D. Let me know if you need my help in the future.

Poor Ryan, when I left Canada to teach in Grand Cayman I definitely was spoiled rotten. It was tough to get back into the murk...but now...I LOVE IT! You're wet, there's fish around you and every dive is different. Cali diving...gotta love it!

dive safe,

Jeff
