Hello,

My family and I will be visiting La Jolla July 20th-23rd and I am the only diver in the group.
I am a newly certified diver, as of this year, with 16 dives under my belt since April. Most of my dives were in Cozumel/Playa and I did my open water at the Blue Hole in New Mexico (63 degree water). I realize that I'm not an experienced diver but I know how to dive and am comfortable doing so (thanks to all of the fantastic information on this board).

I see this as a great opportunity to do some diving. What do you recommend? Should I go on a guided tour, or should I buddy up with some shore divers?

Any information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Matt

Contact OEX and ask them for a divemaster to take you on a Discover local diving tour. That's your best, safest bet.

Enjoy the dive.
