Kudos to Ikelite

I just had a similar experience. I'm very meticulous with assembling my gear, but unfortunately my DS-51 flooded, and double unfortunately the water penetrated into the main body of the strobe. I had thought it was a write-off, but Ikelite said to send it in. I did so (from Australia), and three weeks later there's a package at my door with my fully repaired strobe inside, complete with a new see-through plastic battery compartment lid. There was no charge at all.

I'm very impressed with their service, and for anyone weighing up the pros and cons of one manufacturers product against another it's definitely something to consider. Ikelite really stand by their products and customers.
