Been there and done that. Not the best place to dive as the deepest place is only about 10 feet, but maybe snorkel. Lots of leaves and sediment on the bottom and quickly clouds up if there are others swimming there. Forget the weekends as its usually packed. Has a nice waterfall with lot's of ferns, etc. Also has a small cave behind the waterfall. Great place to get away if you hit it during the week. You can slo walk around and check out some of the other pools above and below the larger pool.

Best bet is to hit the San Marcos river during the week and earlier in the day.
