I had parked mine in the garage last night with all the windows down. My Love turned on a huge box fan to circulate air. It was nearly "fresh as a daisy". LOL, but I have some pieces of kit soaking in the tub upstairs to get the fine clay off. I actually used an old tooth brush on some parts!!!

So BS was a bigger issue than jbd? Last year my wife asked if I had been diving in garlic after a trip to BS, Phewwwww!!!

The smell of garlic would have been wonderful to me. Pop the wine and eat cheese and I am all set. This smell was just... nasty. I've got a feeling that another wash, or a soak, is going to be due especially for the wet suit, gloves and boots.

JBD was more of an issue for sure. :D

I've never been back in that area on the surface. I have been there, but at depth. Sounds pretty nasty. Probably rotting organic matter given the trees back in there.

Water surface wasn't bad but the actual bank stunk. It is clay so it is hard to walk on and then throw in all the other.
One thing that I did notice was that there was no plant life at all on the rocks in that whole inlet. The plants that were there were dead. Don't know what the rest of the quarry looks like but FRP has plenty of green plants.

Probably toxic run-off. :D

I sure hope not!

I don't remember what web site I found it on but there were issues with that water several (15?) years ago. I have also heard that they had an ecoli issueyears ago. That was when the outhouses were right next to the quarry. I don't think it was a dive quarry at the time either. I also think that there are signs posted in the shelters about the water testing from an independant agency.

Hey Jen, how was the concert the other night. Any pics of the do? :D

It was pretty darn good! I could have done with out Styx, but Foreigner wasn't terrible without Lou Gramm. Def Leppard put on a pretty freaking good show, but what do I know, I was DRUNK!!! Maybe it was the gigantic beers or all the hairspray that was slowly seeping into my head. But I wasn't the only one with big hair, I'm pretty sure the Ozone is a little thinner over Louisville after Sunday!! :D

Oh if there are pics, they will never see the light of day on this board!! :froggy:
