I made this sheath over the weekend for my dive knife, a SOG Seal Pup Elite. I started with a 12" x 12" sheet of Kydex plastic, a few rivets, and a drill and ended up with this. The short of it is you cut the plastic to the size you need, heat it in the oven at 275 deg, wrap it around the knife, and press it until it cools, then drill holes for rivets to keep it together. I didn't have a dremel tool so I used my drill to cut slots for straps. This sheath fits like a glove and is much tighter than the one that came from the factory. You can use Kydex to make sheaths for all sorts of gear and obviously it's 100% waterproof. Here are some pics and a link I used below:

Looks good. Only issue I see is if the blade rubs on the rivits which will dull the edge. Other than that it looks great.

thanks, blade won't rub on rivets as the plastic touches between blade and rivets, there is zero play in knife while it is in sheath. the plastic is extremely rigid so will not allow for knife to move around after it has been formed and cooled. a lot of knife makers use kydex for their sheaths because of the ease in making custom fitting sheaths.
