I'm totally with you on that one. I don't go everywhere expecting trouble. I just like to have some modicum of preparedness when or if it arrives unexpectedly. Maybe it's my military background, maybe I'm just more aware of the bad people in the world, but whatever it is I don't want them taking me by surprise.
But in the end I'm going to Bonaire to dive and not to seek out vigilante justice. I'll leave that to Batman.
