Knee injury diving query

I tore my anterior cruciate ligament approx 5 months ago and have just booked a holiday to egypt where I will be hoping to do some diving. I have done approx 5 assisted dives and would like to gain my PADI open water certificate on this holiday. Does anyone know if I will still be OK to dive with this injury? I have spoken to my physio who said I should be fine, but I wondered if I would still be insured/covered?
