I was certified in about '91 thereabouts but my gear got stolen years ago and I've been free diving ever since. Now, I'm thinking about getting back into SCUBA so what do you think about this offer:

Aeris A1 with Aeris EX 100 BC and Gauges, and Octo discounts on sale Aeris

My first gear was just what I bought used from my instructor so I've never been all that hung up on super cool stuff... just enough of the basics to be able to dive.

Since you're a free diver you might be happier with a back inflate BC as there's much less in front of you. Something like the Zeagle Express Tech or ScubaPro Lighthawk. It won't be as cheap as the EX100 though. Being travel BC's, they're much more streamlined. Pockets etc. are add-ons also typically.

If you're diving with a lot on neoprene, you may need to upgrade the wing on the Express Tech also. Scubatoys should be able to credit you on the stock smaller one - my dealer does. I think my larger wing was $90 more. Being a soft backplate, should you ever need to, you can mount doubles also.

Thanks, I'll follow up!
