It's been a while since we begged for money and gear donations 
and we're happy to report the afterschool portion of the club wrapped up for the year and the kids had a blast! Among other things, the club completed a mural to enter in the Wyland Challenge- Pics can be seen here....
We also had a couple of pool sessions for the kids in the Seal Team The kids had a great time experiencing the sensation of scuba!
And, our first batch of OW students will be completing their checkout dives in June! They had a great time at the pool working on skills during the confined water dives..
A big thanks go out to Roy and the gang at Ocean Planet in Tempe for graciously donating their pool for our OW and Seal Team kids! This was huge donation for the club and with so few shops even answering our requests for help, Roy's "no strings attached" donation was unexpected and greatly appreciated by us and the kids/families involved.
Another big thanks to Rob and Jen at Southwest Scuba for donating their time for the OW and Seal Team kids! For the kids to get free instruction blew us away (as well as the parents) and everyone appreciates it! Not to mention making the drive from Tucson every other week or so to work in the classroom with Project AWARE materials.
