hey all! wont bore you with all the details but I'm gearing up to make a big change in my life in the upcomming months and I couldnt be happier! Anyone who has been here can probably associate and those who arent there yet?... you probably will.
I'm 29, have been recreationaly diving for several years, mostly here and there in small lakes and rivers. I carry an ADC commercial Dive Certification (from Ocean Corp in Houston, Tx) and currently working in corporate hell in the offices of a dive company controlling offshore efforts. My job is great dont get me wrong! but i'm almost 30... and if i don't cash in on my dreams now i might never. Life has dealt me just the right cards lately, single again, no children, and a whole ocean of enthusiasm. I'm saving every dime right now to pay off outstanding loans and save just enough to get me started down in the Florida Keys. If all goes well, and DJ (the guy with the power...to accept me into Rainbow Reef's internship program) says i'm in for sure, I'll be completing my recreational dive training to the highest level of instructor i can accomplish while working off Islamorada (or Key Largo). Rainbow Reef's internship is the goal! with little to stop me :). If anyone has anything to say or ask, chime in!

I'm looking to this site for caribbean training advice, keep in touch with the latest dive news and concerns, and to make new friends in the area that i might meet soon when moving down. In the future i hope to find a job in the exploration field, whether volunteering or on the payroll. as long as i can eat sleep and dive, i'm happy. Maybe someone has an idea where to live? or needs a responsible roomate? (oh, my brother is joining too)

cheers,
Greg
