Been planning on taking the AOW class in key largo next week since I finally have a week off. My question is, because of Hurricane Dennis, will it be feasible to go ahead and take the class next week or should I just forget it? Never been in Florida during Hurricane season so don't know what the water is like during that time. Thanks, y'all.

By the 12th Dennis will be long gone (and good riddance you !@$%^&*(^%$ hurricane!). Providing no other systems show up, you should be fine although visibility might be a little less than normal.

I am planning to go down there for a pleasure-diving trip next weekend. Will the visibility still be markedly reduced on the reefs? I can postpone, if I want to; but don't want to. My instincts tell me to put it off a bit, but that is not a lot of experience talking there.

What do y'all think?

I think you should be fine. By the weekend, it'll have had 5 days to settle. Also, try calling the dive shop you plan on using while you're down there.
