Key Largo...Motels with beach

Just wondering if anyone knows of any good motels down in Key Largo that has a nice beach. I am planning on going down in Septemeber for a week and taking my wife. She is a nondiver but loves the beach. So I am looking for a place where she could relax while I am diving each day.

I have stayed at Marina Del Mar when doing a photo shoot in Key Largo (I think that is the name). They have (or had) a gulfside and an Atlantic side location. The Gulf side has a pool and a little tiny beach area.. (right next to Burger King). The Atlantic side location (take a left at Eckerds and follow the sign) does not have a beach, but a nice pool and a cool outside tiki-ish bar/restaurant. It is right next to Ocean Divers which I highly recommend. I have not seen much beach there.. Better off kickin back by the pool/bar.

Dont miss going to The Fish House for the best seafood dinner. The place is low key and relaxed, and has awesome food..

That place has a new name and it is the Bayside resort. Was just there a week ago

The Keys really don't have beaches. The Marriott Key Largo does have a sandy beach on the backside facing the Gulf. It is small, clean, and expensive. If you want beaches, you should be further north in Miami Beach, Ft. Lauderdale or all the way up to Jacksonville. Good luck.
