Not having a hard time finding a trailer, just having a hard time finding a "deal" on a trailer for it. Everything I am seeing for this boat is in the 4-5k range. This boat is VERY WIDE. Since I am not made of money it's kinda hard for me to spend that much on a trailer. Very hard to spend that much when I didnt give much more than that for the boat itself!! I am seeing a few used trailers for much less but of course by the time I see the ad and call on them, they are sold. The problem with the trailer part for me is that my boat is HEAVY and has a 9'9" beam. Which puts it over the "wide load" limit. I am supposed to have a permit to trailer it. Dont think the cops would give me a hard time about it but who knows???

YES THEY WILL down here. My friend is a Monroe County Cop and he tells me all about it

I need to find a deal like that!!! That would surely be a "cheap" trailer!!! I was just going to have it hauled down there by a transporter.

I'll call some friends and see what they have in their yards. Steve in Marathon has some good deals. Heck theirs a boat really close to where I live that the kids are only asking $500 for a Angler 28' with a 225 that needs a tune up on it. Nice boat But I can't buy it right now cuz my kids want to see snow for Christmas. So off to Ohio I go for a week. But when I get back:eyebrow: that boat is mine..................

I may have found a deal. There is a guy here close to me that has a boat on Craiglists for "take it away" kinda deal. He wanted to keep the trailer but I made him an offer on it, he says come look at it tomorrow morning. It's the same boat as mine!! but of course its stripped, just a damaged hull. Hopefully i can get that trailer!!

What a surprise....they were advertised for +/- 140k PLUS like $160 a month for maintenance

Yeah, and what "maintenance" do they do on those racks EVERY MONTH??? Uhh......none? Paint em once a yr and inspect the welds and bolts every few months, thats about it.

Their maintenance consisted of "turning the screws" To the buyers!

Maintenance costs never make this a good deal as long as you have a place - rack, slip, trailer, driveway - to store your boat - if you do the math on financing 140k or even if you pay cash

We stored our 25' open fish at Carabee (MM 81?) in Islamorada - great experience, great folks to do business - recommended highly - no idea if they have space, costs, etc - but worth a call

Its a run to Key Largo but doable - there are great spots off Islamorada to dive including the Eagle

I thought about looking down a little further but since I always stay in Key Largo I think I would rather store the boat there too. Dont want to have to drive 4 1/2 hours to get there and then drive more to get to my boat.
