Going up again? I'm game if anyone is interested this weekend.

I'd be interested in going to Pavillion Lake and getting some video of the microbialites.

My sister is having her wisdom teeth removed on Friday, so I have to baby sit her out of the dentist's office. I was planning going over on Saturday.

bighiller, pm sent.

Good luck to your sister!

Here a more serious family health problem has ended with the passing of my husband's father. So we cannot make the trip this time after all.

Have fun!

Thanks and sorry to hear about your father in law.

So, we're all good to go then.

I'm leaving Vancouver around 6:30am and heading north up the sea-to-sky and expect to be at pavillion lake by maybe 11am...

its like amazing race pavillion lake edition.

still looking for more divers
so far its slam, bh, myself.

I heard about the train, too, supposed to be along the left side (when seen from park). Didn't find it when staying shallow and swimming quite far toward the lakes' end, must be deeper. We HEARD it, though, for a long time! Freaked us out - 'the ghost train of Kelly Lake'. On surfacing, we saw that the train tracks cut close to the lake there, hadn't noticed that before ;). Microbialites, many on the right side along shore, you could do a surface swim to the power post with the yellow guy wire protector, go down right at the cable and you'll see a big log with a line, that leads you out to a big colony of microbialites at around 60 '. Swim toward the lakes' end to find more (left when facing near shore).

For my two cents', Pavilion is even nicer than Kelly, those tropical colors!

Hey, are any of you guys going to Pavillion on Saturday, or is it too late and you all went today/Friday? It's just two hours from me and I got two tanks in the truck, wouldn't mind getting wet tomorrow, too, before heading out to the Adams on Sunday...If you're there, let me know when you expect to go, and if you're at the first pullout, the 'big stump' one (bit boring, I hear), or at the second one, right after the resort, the one by the little island with the dock.
