Not quite spearfishing but a captain friend of mine takes this guy off shore twice a year to fish from his kayak. That's a big Rooster fish that was released.

The Kayak shop I bought my kayak from, Canoe Country Outfitters in St Pete, has a video on kayak tarpon fishing.

Maybe I'll make a video on kayak spearfishing!

I want to shoot a roosterfish, so I'll have to get to Baja someday.

Cool Chad.
I've had my Ocean Kayaks about 10yrs.Have spearfished, lobstered, fossil dove and done a whole lot of fishing on them(as well as surfed).Spearfishing in Jax from kayak would be a bit difficult;)Have gone from Vero south to the Keys.Where'd you go?

Tony,

The Tampa Bay area is also tough to dive close to shore. I hit an artificial reef a few miles offshore. Had to shoot from the hip, in 10' visibility. There were a bunch of smaller mangroves, sheepshead and illegals too... the snook drove me nuts!

Kayak shooting is something I've always wanted to do. It just took a bit over a decade to get around to it! I'm going to use it for stone crabbing too.
