Kaanapali Dive Company

Hi, I'm staying at Westin Kaanapali next month (Nov 07) and will be taking an Advanced Open Water Course. I believe the resort got a dive shop on premise, Kaanapali Dive Company. Has anyone taken any dive class with them? Any input will be very helpful. Any dive shop you will recommend near Kaanapali?

Resort dive operations are very convenient and sometimes very flexible. The good ones usually have very competent instructors. Satisfying picky customers at a premium price takes more than just experience. There are dive shops in Lahaina; which is less convenient, probably less flexible but also less expensive.

Make sure you know what you are getting; a boat trip is neccessary for a decent deep dive (IMO), if three of the training dives are the easiest sites right off the Westin push for a better price and you really should get a night dive at Black Rock if you do it with them
