Whilst hanging around for my safety stop at 5M I spotted what looked like a yellow/green tadpole wiggling away in mid water.

By the time I reached it I was already at 7M and the best shot I manage to get is this one, did not get close enough though and this is a cropped shot.

I figure it is a juvenile version of something in the planktonic phase but no idea what

It's the larval form of a sea squirt or tunicate, what species I do not know. There is a good article about them from years past in Alert Diver, but can't remember what issue. They transform to a fixed adult phase. awesome find. Cheers

I think Vincent54 got it, possibly a species of Oikopleura
