Yes this is great!! That's a very good thing and shows what local dive operations can achieve when they are going the same direction and take actions on their own.

The only thing I don't really like in this article is this comment " This is what Bangka used to look like" below a photo showing an aerial view of Murex Bangka beach : this is still what it looks like at that place, the place where the mining was going on never looked like this. I don't like propaganda on either side, even the "good" one.

We are so happy this day has finally come. Thank you for updating everyone on this story and doing your part to save Bangka.

Since you were recently here, you know that the majority of Bangka’s beautiful sites are intact. And Murex Bangka’s house reef still looks exactly like the photo posted. After I read your comment I contacted The Coral Triangle and asked them to clarify the tag added to their photo – it now says, "This is the other side of Bankga - and what the whole island could look like were it not for the mining in one part".
