Well, after a long time of harassment by some friends of mine, I've finally decided to learn to dive, and figured I would get on the web and see what I could find out for myself.

So, I just wanted to check in and say hi. I have really enjoyed what I've read so far.

Andy

Hi Andy and welcome to the board.

There are a lot of people on here that range from no-yet-divers like yourself to old salts so advise and hints are easy to come by. If you have any questions, ask away. Diving is fun and can be a life long (and life changing) sport. The people you meet, the places and things you see and the experiences you have will be priceless and they are exclusively for those of us who venture into the undersea relm but don't let anyone, friends, stangers, dive buddies or family "harass" you into doing anything you don't feel comfortable doing or that you lack the training and experience to do safely, esp in scuba. Scuba is a safe sport when done to your level of experience and training....but it can be quite deadly if you violate the rules and venture unprepared pass you training. Not trying to scare you, just trying to put things in perspective.... Water pressure is great, peer pressure is not! Again, welcome.

Hello Andy, your friends did good. Glad to have you aboard!

Hello

Welcome to the boards from Arizona All beach no oecean.

Welcome aBOARD, Andy... you've found the right place to ask anything you want about scuba (and sometimes about other things too, but we try not to do that too much, don't we guys? :p)

Let us know how you go and when you certify.

See you around.
:)
