That depends. Do you look back at our mania for virtually eradicating polio, smallpox, and yellow fever with approval or condemnation? After all, the organisms which cause those diseases have a right to live, too, don't they?I am curious how the divers of 20 years in the future will look back at our mania for killing lionfish.

But seriously, I believe that divers 20 years from now will look back on it with indifference, because divers killing a few lionfish is not likely to have much effect on the big picture.
