LVDiveEng:Hi, sorry just had to scream it out, I've spent all my life on the surface of the water surfing not really realizing what was underneath. What a totally different world. Now I've got DT mags all over the place, desktop's changed, new tattoo in the planning, everything I see that's red has to have a white stripe through it and I did this all originally because of a possible job! Is there such thing as dive stoke? LOL
Hollywoodivers Karim:Dude, sounds like you are ready to explore the whole underwater world. Since you are so close to Southern California, thought I'd let you know that we have 8 islands right off the coast here plus some decent wreck diving and sea lions galore (a lot like overgrown puppy dogs). Also the kelp forest is great all on its own. Probably the best way to get aquainted with things out here is to go to the Underwater Park at Casino Point off of Catalina Island. As far as shops go, check out Hollywoodivers in Los Angeles; the dive club doesn't have any dues, has always got something going on and will be able to point you in the right direction no matter what type of diving you are interested in. Have fun out there!
