passfire:If you can afford a tri-laminate type dry-suit (the most expensive type), they are actually quite nice. It's a lot of money up front, but they last a lot longer than a wet suit. I have to replace my wet suit about every three years, but with a drysuit you just replace the rubber seals once in a great while. With a tri-lam type, you just adjust the clothes you are wearing underneath to match how cold the water is. If it's warm, just wear shorts and a T-shirt, or not even that much. If you need it for cold water, then you have to spend another few hundred bucks on the thermal underwear specifically made for drysuits (which still keeps you warm in the event that the suit floods).
The nice thing is that you only need one suit to dive the entire range of water temperatures that you would ever encounter, and it will last a long time if you take good care of it. The only down side (other than price) is the added complexity of having an additional buoncy source to deal with and it takes a while to get used to the discomfort of the neck seal.
But yeah, your'e looking at about $2000 USD for a good DUI Tri-lam suit w/underwear!

passfire:I don't think I can make it there this year, but I'm trying to work things out so that I can work part time there and part time here. All I need is a good internet connection and a mail carrier that can get packages to any country within a few weeks time. Is it common to have reliable high speed (ie- non modem) internet service in appartments there?
Are there any months that are better than others for diving, or is the diving just always good there?
-Kyle
jonix:most of us dive at least once every month.
paolov:oh you mean those who scuba dive. ah... i thought skydiving.....
