I read it in the Asiadivers newsletter, so it must be true!:14:

I believe it! Up to now I still get visions of that fellow walking down the AD pier:D

Warm water drysuit diving would be great... no hood, you're dry and you can just zip out and be in your street clothes in no time :) Just ask Tim from Maui..

The newest newsletter isn't up on their site yet... so pm someone (or me) to get it fwded to you

Actually, jascha (the dry suit guy) had the last laugh on us. During the day, we all laughed at him as he would sit there sweating buckets before the dive. On the last nite dive off of Sabang Beach, we hit some pretty cold thermals 25 or possible less. Most of us were shivering when we finished the dive and Larry was regretting not wearing the pink leg warmers... Jascha had a smile on his face...

i dove with that guy, i wont comment though. dry suit in gallera? now thats a joke:D

There is one case I can think of when a drysuit in warm water might be necessary, such as when diving double steel and you're still negative even without a weight belt. Since you have no ditchable weight, then you need the backup buoyancy in case your BC malfunctions, especially if you are doing decompression diving and need to hold stops on the way up. Somehow I doubt that was the setup this guy was diving though. Maybe he's just one of those NJ divers that have never seen a wetsuit :)

Hey I wear a drysuit in PG!

If your doing mans diving (extended dives 2h+) and the deep stuff you need it. Also good to keep skills current.
