HAHA I just got mine in to I think gonna go break it in in the bathtub. These Ikelite housings are hardcore I didn't realize how thick the plastic was gonna be.

Check and lube your O-rings every time you open it up. I have just over 400 dives on my Ike set-up over the last year and a half and it works great. The 125s are bullet proof.

I've had my E900 for several months now and just got a strobe two days ago. I haven't tried it out yet. I have taken thousands of images with just the camera and internal flash with great results. You can get some very nice macro shots using the internal flash, but for wide angle you need to use ambient light to avoid backscatter, at least until your strobe arrives. All of the images in my Photobucket link were taken without a strobe. Hopefully my next images will be better.

Kazoo,

I have the exact same setup as you. I have enjoyed it IMMENSELY and haven't had an iota of a problem with it.

The only shortcomings I can find are my inabilities to maximize the capacity of the unit.

The Ikelite housings do feel quite substantial, but underwater my E900 and housing without arms or strobes is just ever so slightly negative. It's really quite nice to use underwater.

Even with the tray and the Ikelite DS-50 it's quite easy to handle, albeit it is a bit negative.
