A scooter harness is one more piece of gear to deal with even if it's no biggie.
I think you will be able to deal with the "pressure" as you familiarize yourself with the machine.
Keep the lanyard as taut as possible before you hit the trigger, it makes a big difference.
In the beginning you practice with the scooter and there is a lot of stop and go.
On sustained runs there is really no problem.
