Not the first thresher sighting I've heard of here. The thresher sighting was absolutely not mistaken for nurse sharks, that much I know. My DM has confirmed that they were NOT nurse sharks...possibly threshers or even tiger sharks. Again, very unusual, but not impossible.

Today, my group came back absolutely elated...Punta Sur cathedrals...2, then 3 then 14 black tips, large schools of horse-eye jacks, several turtles, and of course the beauty of that dive...I am kicking myself for not diving this morning!!!!!!!

Where the heck was that??!! I've never seen any but reefs, blackies, and nurses in 5 or so trips to Coz. I've *busted* on Aldora to take me to unusual sites looking for bigger animals (I know that they are there!)...

My husband Dan and I were diving with David, (Seascuba dive shop) came out of Punta Sur and there was a bull shark just hanging. Far enough away, close enough to see. There out there.

We just got back in last night from a week long trip of diving in the cenotes and the PDC area. However, as part of our dive package, we went to Coz for a day and dove with Deep Blue. Hector was our DM, and he took us to Palancar Gardens for the first dive, and we came up on at least 20 adult black tips, along with another 10 juveniles. The adults pretty much kept their distance from us, but the young ones were swimming all in and around our group. That's a dive I will remember forever, just watching all those sharks was awe-inspiring.
