As far as an alternative org. I've been rather frond of Oceana.org

I took offense the the comparisons earlier between "Conservatives vs. Wackos"

the state of affairs today relating to our bipartisan system is very sad as a whole. Everything is forced into one of two columns and the lines between those columns are very VERY blurred. However, if i say that i don't support the Texas Hbouse Bill 1607, allowing for 1 mile stretch of beach to be given to private developers (when the entire texas coast is previously public property) then i'm a liberal socailist pink wacko that believes in killing babies and pouts spikes in trees.

We need to all open our eys and quit thinking down party lines. The rift in our country is growing and it cannot lead to anything good. I personally hope for more moderate representatives in the future, they're the only one i believe actually think about what they vote on. you can't convince me someone like Zell Milner ever actually followed a thought through to a logical decision.

Sorry. poilitcs is so arbitrary today it makes me very angry... that's why i live in the woods and don't use soap.... That makes me enlightened..

Yeah, that private beach bill is setting a very dangerous overdevelopment precedent for Texas. The public majority of the state overwhelmingly doesn't want it, but these icky developers are sneaky and know how to lobby.
