When you enrolled in scuba or completed your courses. How many of you ran to the closest scuba shop expecting "just to look" and ended up dropping a grand.

Are there any of you compulsive buyers out there? Or am I just stupid :rofl3:

Now I have "at least two" of most everything.

If I had to do it over again, I would have probably rented the big ticket items for a while. Of course being the gadget junky I am, I have yet to part with any of the items I started with.

Hope you made wise choices.
Good Luck

I'm sure when I get back to work i'm going to buy all sorts of gadgets. On my first dive shop adventure I came out with:

  • Scuba Pro Knighthawk BCD
  • Scuba Pro AIR 2
  • Scuba Pro Mk2 Plus regulator
  • 3mm shorty wetsuit
Second trip shortly there after I bought a Oceanic DataMax Pro computer

Then there's the internet purchases, camera, slave strobe, filters, lenses, a purge mask, dry snorkel, a specialty mask with ear cuffs to keep your ears dry and help equalize, oceanic fins.. I'm sure there's more i'm forgetting.

I just have a bad habit of over doing it, hell i'm only on module 4 :/

I choose to invoke my rights as guaranteed to me under the 5th amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

I actually did the same and then proceeded to buy something in each of the stores within a 50 mile radius

Nah...the ramifications once I get home would be cataclysmic!

The person that told me that it's better to ask forgiveness that permission never met my wife! (but the trick is to wait until she blows some serious cash first) But that's on anything over $100-200. THOUSAND? I'd be a statistic!

I DO have the fortune of being able to just have things show up without her knowledge since she really doesn't know what I DO own!

Btw...es601...nice piece of "butt coral" in your avatar! That's rare!

Na-na-na...na-na! :fruit: As long as the bills are paid I don't ask what my husband does with his money and he doesn't ask what I do with mine :D

Welcome to "Gear Buyers Anonymous" Turk, we're all here for you!

I have stuff I've never even used LOL! I'm on Scuba.com's mailing list and those emails with the deals in them are sometimes impossible to resist.
