You think it was really an error? Maybe the "duck" stamp was a cover for a really special stamp collection?

um...

Duck stamps, which cost $15 apiece, are required to hunt migratory waterfowl. The government uses nearly all the revenue to purchase waterfowl habitat for the National Wildlife Refuge System. In 2006-2007, the latest figures available, duck stamp purchases brought in nearly $22 million.

I wanted to post a pic of a "special" stamp collection I found, but I didn't want to get a TOS violation! LOL!

Sad thing is this isn't the first time something like this has happened. There used to be someone who as a joke left card in the petshop that said free dog food just call 1800 PUPPYLUV. Guess what it does.

where I used to work, our voicemail access as some 888 number.

Every now and then I'd mess up and dial the default "toll free" area code of 800.

While folks do this all the time, the problem on our end was the 800 version of the number was a Suicide Prevention Hotline.....

so if you called them and they answered "Suicide prevention hotline", I'd just tell them I had the wrong number.... but they apparently had lots of folks who called up and then when someone answered changed their mind and wanted to hang up.... so they were saying in the phone "WAIT! NO! PLEASE DON'T HANG UP?"

I asked what was wrong? and they said "Wait! We can Help you!, Don't Hang up.."

I know they are just trying to do their job and try to keep us on the line so we didn't kill ourselves, but all I really wanted was that little red blinkly light on my phone to quit blinking and hated to be rude to them by telling them to leave me alone or hanging up on them... :rofl3:
