i wear a size 13 shoe
I'm in between an xl and a (HUGE) xxl jet fin

I'm in the same boat as you. It's just a matter of finding the right boots. I also had to take an razor blade to mine and shave off a bit of the excess rubber sole on the sides. Where there is a will there's a way. :D

The Turtles are right between the two, and might work perfectly.

... if you feel like taking the class in the Seattle area, it's not that difficult to find some kind-hearted soul who will loan you gear for the class ...

I'm not lending MY gear for somebody's Fundies class. I know what happens to gear you lend for Fundies classes . . .

(For those not in on the joke, Bob lent me his, and never got it back.)

I just consider it part of a recycling program ...

I've seen pictures of Bob's garage. I doubt that he has even noticed. :D

You can do well in Quattros. I ditched my buckles for spring straps and I can do frog kicks, helicopters, back kicks, and all of the other kicks just fine. I can do them much better in jets though :) You may want to look at the OMS Slipstreams. They are right in between the SP XL and XXL jets and they are much lighter. Tons of snap and they help to keep that feet-high trim. I love mine.
