Hey all. I am new to this site... but thought you all might like to know about Misool Eco Resort. I am lucky enough to know the guys setting the resort up and therefore got an invite to visit before the resort opened.
This place blew my mind... I have dived all over this blue planet of ours and this place has just raised the bar for a premium dive destination!!!! The diversity of fish and corals truely amazing. Critters by the bucket load, thats if you had time to look for them with clouds of bait fish swirling your head being chased by hunting pelagics!
The reefs jammed packed with fans, corals and sponges like nowhere else I have ever dreamed of let alone seen!
The guys have built this luxury eco resort from drfitwood - yeah thats right driftwood! And they have done this with the local people, the whole resort has been designed in a way so that the environmental effect of having a resort in paradise has been minimised as much as possible. I take my hat off to such a venture and I hope that it will be a model for other resorts in the area in the future.
