hey guys & gals,
I just got back yesterday from my Blackbeard's cruise. It was over the top!:thumb: Even though the boats are set up to accomodate 22 passengers, there were only 9 of us (8 divers & 1 non- diver), plus the six crew. It was perfect! I did a total of 19 out of a possible 20 dives (had to sit out the last one because of no fly time limits). Although some were combined, we did 4 wreck dives, 3 night dives, 3 drift dives, 1 wall dive, a shark feeding dive. I managed a couple of personal bests. I did my deepest dive to date (102') and my longest dive to date (1:14 at 35'). Saw sharks, turtles, stingrays, eels, huge crabs & lobsters, all kinds of corals & fish. Very cool. If you want to do a lot of diving, this is probably the best bang for the buck. It is not luxurious, but not that bad either. The biggest thing is there is not a lot of room. I have a journal (kind of lengthy) & some pictures if anyone is interested. Just PM an email address me & I'll send it to you.

Darned gallery is still off-line, be sure to put the pics in your gallery when
it comes back up. I'd sure like too see some of the shots you took. After
reading your e-mail it sounds like you had one HECK of a GREAT time!

And I'm sure after my reply to your e-mail you understand,

I hate you!
I hate you!
I hate you!

even though others may not understand my sentiment! :D

Congrats on your GREAT adventure!

I certainly will put the picture in when the gallery opens up. I got some awesome shark pictures! The sea turtle pictures didn't turn out as well as I would have hoped. Either I was too far away or couldn't fin fast enough to keep up.

Turtles also tend to want to blend into the reef, so it is hard to get a good
defined shot of them unless you have a great angle.
I still have a problem with the unlimited spirits onboard but the last dive at first drink
thing! That would be a rough vacation for me!

Hey Tammy,

Sounds like you had a great trip! 19 dives in the Bahamas, it probably don't get much better than that. Glad you had a good time. :D

PM is on its way...

so what did the "non diver" do all week?

did they get bored? or what did they do to keep from getting bored?

She tried to do a resort course & freaked out when she got the gear on & got into the water. She did snorkel around here & there & read several books. She said she was just glad to get away from TV, phones, computer & the office. I'm sure she was bored from time to time. She did manage to get herself sloshed a few times with the booze. Unfortunately when she got drunk, she got loud & extemely obnoxious. I usually avoided her when she got that way, sad as it is to say. She would drink heself to passing out.

I had one shot that would have been great, if I had only finned faster. I cut off part of its head in the photo. It was bright & clear against the black of the night water.

I thnk you should make up a hard copy photo album and bring it to Joes for the Uw Pumpkin carvng and season finale diving. That way you can tell us about each photo, as I'm sure each has its own little story to enjoy.
