My MARES Vector Platinum BC finally arrived and I just had to test it out. I like it a lot . I was able to shave 4 pounds of lead almost instantly from what I wear with the rental BC.
That being said, I promised my son that I would take him out and let him breathe through my OCTO while snorkeling. Saturday before we went out to the lake my dive buddy called and canceled. Well my son and I went to the lake anyway. As I was looking for a parking place I noticed a group of divers at the ramada commonly used by divers. There was an instructor that I recognized from another shop but have seen at the lake a few times prior. He just finished Cert. Dives for 10 students. There was another instructor that was helping instead of having a DM.
After talking with the group, Richard the other instructor was going to do some more diving and agreed to let me swim along. My son Alex thought the water was too cold so decided to play with his friends on the shore. The water temp was 62F with 5-foot visibility, 45 minutes later Richard and I climbed out of the water.
I dried off and packed my things away, then asked Richard to sign my logbook. We talked about all sorts of things. When he looked at my logbook and saw 14 dives, he mentioned I wouldve thought you were a more experienced diver. Made me feel like walking on water. Just wanted all of you fellow board readers to know that and that I appreciate all your comments they really help.
