Jup Rpt Jul 24 - 1 Tank & limits

Mini season opening day, dove with Jupiter Dive Center on Republic 4 with Capt Ryan and Capt Phil on the deck & DM Matt hanging on the flag reel with both hands in the current. First tank hit a '95 ft spot with 2-1\2 knot bottom current and 4 knots screaming surface current. 100 ft top to bottom very very blue viz. Limited on the first dive and picked up my bonus 2 on the next tank for a total of 14. I lost my lobster bag on the third dive, but another diver found it,,,,gave him a $20 reward! Divers are the best!. Repeat Thursday, but its going to be tough to find a limit.

Day 2 of Mini-Season in Jupiter.

Much better topside since the winds backed down to just 9mph and from the south & SW making it much better. Still that beautiful very very blue clear water that you could see for 100ft easily. Deeper drop at 95ft off of Juno Beach was still a 2 knot current, toasty warm at 82 degrees, But it was day 3 of an extended mini-season and tough to find spots that had not been hunted yet. I ended up with half a dozen today.

Fed lunch to the boat divers with 3 boxes of the famous Publix hot & spicy non-breaded chicken wings that everyone loved. And if one fell on the floor cause of the waves, it's easier to wipe off and eat instead of taco fixins everywhere. Now to make recap notes on dive sites so we can use them for next year if we get another 3 day mini-season.
