Sad news indeed. By tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since the missing accident happened.

What I learn from the comment made in the above link “...An unnamed brother of Sultan was quoted in Alwakeel News websites as saying that Sultan went missing after he faced "strong" currents while diving deep in the UAE territorial waters.”, it is important to launch the DSMB early at depth ASA we feel the strong current would be blown us away. So the boat above us can see where we are heading by the time we surface.

It was on U533 two weeks ago.

The information is still a bit sensitive and I'm not going to comment, he was one of my friends in our tech group.
Hello, can you please contact me i am Sultan brother

Many thanks

If I were to be lost at sea there (knock on wood for safe diving & sailing), besides the US Embassy in UAE, whom else my emergency contact (my brother) should call if NOAA were to receive my distress signal & calling him to verify the signal were legitimate.

Unfortunatly, my experience with using the US Embassy has always been counterproductive, with their help (or lack of it) you are going to be a lot worse off than without it.
If anybody else can say that the Embassy was a great help, I'd like to hear it.

Michael

A big shout out to Simon for working on this and doing everything he can to get answers for the family and friends.
