I'm 16 years old and am in good physical shape. But for some reason, when I dive to around 80 ft., all my joints become painful. It usually starts in my hands, then my knees, then everywhere. at first they just start cracking but after a minute or so they actually hurt. This pain and even the cracking goes away almost immediatly after I start ascending. I've been searching for quite sometime to figure out what is going on but I cant find anything. Could someone please tell me why this happens and if i can do anything about it?
Thank you.

This sounds interesting. I would almost think it was decompression sickness except for the fact that I've never heard of that happening from /descending/ and not ascending. I would consult a physician who's knowledgeable about dive medicine...go to DAN's web page (google Diver Alert Network) and find someone near you who you can make an appointment with. Better safe than sorry.

How odd? I'll ask a Mod to move this to Medical forum for better coverage. Post an Intro in the forum if you'd like.
