Talking about shark biology and fisheries science....sounds like a great way to spend a Thursday night, no? Hell, yea it does.
Join us on Thursday, November 19 for a presentation by Travis Richards, a PhD student who is very involved in the projects at the Wells Fisheries Lab. While his particular project focuses on focuses on food web ecology of deep sea fishes and invertebrates, he's familiar with all of the lab's ongoing projects and can easily talk about any of them. If you click on the People tab of their website, you'll see Travis' bio.
I encourage you to also click on the Research tab; personally, I'd like to know more about their work on the artificial reefs. Looks like they're doing alot of very cool stuff.
As is our new norm, we are schooling at Jake's on Chimney Rock. You can get there as early as 6:30 pm to eat and drink and just generally raise hell and we'll kick off the meeting at 7:30 pm. We'd love to see you on Thursday since it's our last regular meeting of the year.
