It depends on your use of it, It is A nice lens, but it is very limited as far as the zoom capabilities.

I would take it that you are using it for top-side Photography??

And what is the price.

My reason is I use a 75x300 zoom and I want MORE!!

For wide angle I am using 15mm and love it!

I'm trying to decide on an initial lens to use both topside and underwater.
Scott suggested a sigma 17-55 with an extension ring and dome port.

My thinking is if I get maybe the 16-85 and the 55-200 that will cover my topside needs for a while. and the 16-85 should cover the underwater needs until I can spring for the dedicated macro and port.
Obviously you can't get everything at one time unless the lottery comes in so tough decisions are to be made.

The old one stays home for your use and classes. besides some of the parts, like strobe arms and strobe will be used with the new set up.
