This goes to everyone who used the old guide here:
http://www.scubaboard.com/t63244-.html
With the help of Tech Admin, that thread is old news!!!! While it was usefull, keeping up with forums you wanted to exclude was becoming tiresome, so we now have a new method of limiting the new posts search.
Whenever you enter a forum, you'll see drop down menu on the forum title called: Forum Tools. One of the options in this menu is Subscribe to This Forum. If you select this option, you will be given a choice on your subscription options, which are basicly how you want to be notified of new threads. Select any option you want, but scubcribe to the forums you are interested in.
Once you have picked your forums of interest, you can then limit your new posts search by entering the following into your address bar in your browser:
http://www.scubaboard.com/search.php?do=getnew&subscribed=1
(I recommend making it a favorite.)
This will give you the new posts only from those forums you have subcribed to. (And there was much rejoicing.)
