New to uw video and have a lot of HD footage from a recent trip to Coz. I want to edit it and have as close to the original quality as I see on the raw footage when I burn it to Blu-Ray. I have Adobe PE4 and am comfortable with it but will need to upgrade to PE7 for AVCHD. I also got Vegas Pro 8 as part of the Sony SR12 HD camera package but am more than a bit intimidated by the 440 pages instruction manual. I just want to do some simple trimming, transitions and titles and a sound track but most importantly want it to look as good as the original video. My question is will I have the same quality output with PE7 as Vegas, or even Roxio Creator which I also have? Vegas is awsome but not sure I can devote the time to mastering it just yet. Also, running 64 bit Vista.
