I can't get the two to pair. I've tried a direct connection to the tank, which doesn't hold an air tight fit, so I bought a 6" high pressure hose to mount it on. Still can't get it to turn on and pair. The 6" hose leaks slightly at the attachment point to the pod, nothing worrisome, finished a full dive with no problems, but not sure if this is normal. Please help!

No specific help to offer, but general may do it:
Is the computer up to date with firmware?
Did you insert an HP air spool between the hose and the transmitter?

Does the Mares transmitter need an HP air spool?

Not when connected directly to the 1st stage, but needed with the short hose. The swivel isn’t airtight without it.
