Windy Point public or private? The conditions will be about the same except you will find it a long way down the stairs and across the rocks at WP private. Here is my report from WP public (Bob Wentz)

Air Temp - 73 (no joke) :shocked2:
Water Temp @ Surface – 85
Water Temp @ 65' - 77
Water Temp @ 80' - 77
Max Depth - 85'
Vis to 20' - 3'
Vis 20' to 65' - 3-5'
Vis 65’ to 80 - 15'
Dive Time - 58 min

Well believe it or not the air temp at 8:30 this morning was 73 and well it ain't called windy point for nothing, the wind was howling and the wave's stirred up the muck very nicely but at 70 ft the vis was about as far as your lights would allow! I was completely alone on the "point" and I could hear the fire support aircraft all around me but only saw them a couple of times. I dove the same spot Saturday and the vis was much nicer on the top but the same at depth.

The vis up top is probably lots better now that the wind has died down.

A couple weeks ago viz at the bottom (out in the river channel) at 124' depth was about 8' and temps were a "cool" 55, viz around 80' was really good and much warmer (mid-70s i think).

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for...
Will they let you drive down to the water like a few years back when the water was way low?

Thanks again paulW

Yeah, I have been parking way down on the sand, they have the cones set up again but will let you drive down past them to unload but you have to park behind the cones, just be careful because the sand is deep.

Now we know what happened to the line ;)

Ian and I are planning repairs for Sat evening. Sure could use some help hauling tanks.
