Islamorada in August--What to do?

We are going to Islamorada the first week of August for a family trip. I went last year with a group of friends and did some nice diving with Islamorada Dive Center. We are going to have a few people with us this year that do not dive and I am wondering if there are some things that we/they can do out of the water. Does anyone know what may be going on both in and out of the water during that time or some things that are a definite must see/do while we are there? Any help is appreciated.

You might want to check the Key Largo & Islamorada chamber of commerce sites for events that might
be scheduled the first week of August .
