We stay out by the Tortugas Farm where we rent a little casita with a private beach. There is nothing in walking distance and cabs are few and far between. .

Is there more than one Turtle Farm? The one I'm vaguely familiar with is in the middle of the island on the West side. Chedraui is not very far from there. We rented an AirBnB a few blocks from Chedraui so we were able to walk to get groceries plus there were a couple of good places to eat nearby and taxis going by very regularly. I agree that there are NO taxis on the East side But it's not a very far walk to the West side of the island.

There is only one turtle farm. We stayed at the end of that peninsula.
