Cancun diver loses life after air disconnects
Cancun, Q.R. – A young man has drowned after his oxygen hose discounts while diving off Isla Contoy.

The incident occurred Sunday at 3:15 p.m. in the area of Punta Sam road in Cancun. Emergency officials received a 066 call that a lifeless man had been placed beside the Flamingos pier. Ministerial Police arrived to find the body of the 35-year-old man, who was originally from the Yucatan, floating in the water.

An interviewed friend said that the man was diving at a depth of 40 meters when his oxygen line broke free but that he was not able to reach the surface in time.

The diver, who was established in Cancun, died of drowning.
