I've got a pair of Oceanic Neo Classic booties that I've enjoyed a lot. Bought them when I moved to Hawaii, they've been great on boats, beaches, and mostly on the lava rock around here. But all of a sudden...

Now I don't expect scuba gear to last forever, especially where neoprene is involved. But these are just barely two years old with less than 60 dives on them. And the separation wasn't very gradual. One dive I noticed a little gap, 2 or 3 dives later and the entire sole is coming off.

I'm on my way to buy some aquaseal right now to see if I can patch them together for a while, but I'm a little disappointed. I expect divemasters making dozens of dives a week to go through gear quickly, but I'm lucky to dive once every other week and I always rinse and store my gear carefully. Should I be expecting more or is this pretty much standard?
